A downloadable SCP for Windows, macOS, and Linux

Based upon SCP-001: When Day Breaks by Shaggydredlocks
https://scp-wiki.wikidot.com/shaggydredlocks-proposal

This is an active project currently in development. This page serves to demonstrate a tone, atmosphere, and gameplay example for what will be included in the final release.

Project Goal

The goal of this project is to make the experience of the proposal interactive. The submission for Godot Wild Jam #66 will serve as a demo / proof of concept for what we have worked on so far, but is not yet complete.

Current Status

The introduction crawl leading up to the room is functional.

In the room you are able to walk around to see the scene, and you can interact with the computer / sit at the desk.

At this time, you can see the bootscreen for the PC, and then progress to the SCP-001 main article. You cannot yet scroll through the article, and beyond that screen there is no other function to be found.

In later updates we will finish adding in all the content to the computer interaction, such as audio logs, video logs, and lead into implementing all of the events from the SCP entry itself.

We worked mostly on getting the room built, the vibe right, and toying around with a few systems for interaction/audio design as a foundation. Now we need to get more content added.

Controls

hey- I  am also making my own interpretation of SCP:When Day Breaks, and was curious about some of your takaways and what you did to adapt it. is it possible if I  could contact you?

Sure! I'm crims0nc0bra on Discord if you use that

Windows build. I get stuck at the second screen on the computer object. Any ideas what I do wrong? Enter key or the mouse wheel doesn't seem to help

Nothing on your end - that is as far as is functional right now. We didn't get to finish in time for the jam deadline, and spent most of it building the atmosphere and the framework, but still wanted to show what we had so far.

Thank you for taking the time to check it out!

The game has plenty of potential, and its atmosphere looks and feels great. I hope you guys will continue working on it :)

Also thank you for including some of my assets to it!

I just noticed that the door handles are missing as they were not parented to the door in the previous version of the pack. I recommend downloading the most recent version of it! Take care!

Thanks, I missed that!

Love the assets - mandatory or not, we will be including a credits section for anything we didn't make ourselves come the full release.
